Different artists were chosen for each city and I was commissioned to produce two sets of tour posters for both of the Arctic Monkeys homecoming shows, which were signed off by the band and printed earlier this week. This has been a real pleasure to work on — although signing and numbering 1,200 prints has exercised muscles in my arm I didn’t know existed.

For Friday’s show the track ‘There’d Better Be a Mirrorball’ from their recent album ‘The Car’ was chosen. It is represented here as a soundwave carefully plotted and assembled by hand.

The poster sold on the day is a silkscreen print from an edition of 600 (plus artist proofs), pulled using glossy vinyl ink on 270gsm highly reflective metallic paper. .
